The US Department of Transportation is firing back at the House of Representatives oversight committee over its investigation into its head.
In a letter Monday, the department's assistant secretary Adam Sullivan denied his boss, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, leveraged her role to benefit the Foremost Group, a dry bulk company founded by her father James Chao and run by her sister Angela Chao.
