A Singaporean operator is looking to seize more than 500,000 tonnes of cement after a chaotic bulker voyage over the summer ran up a big tab.
Victory Shipping, the charterer of the 63,601-dwt Tomini Shipping-linked Tomini Felicity (built 2020), filed suit to attach the cargo to grab security ahead of arbitration in London in which it is seeking $2.3m, nearly all of its demurrage charges against the bulker’s former charterer, Texcem.
