US-based Schuyler Line Navigation is taking a construction giant to court over detention and demurrage charges for a project on a remote British overseas territory.
The Maryland shipowner filed suit against Fluor AMEC II, a subsidiary of Fortune 500 Fluor Corp, alleging it is owed $2.2m. Schuyler claimed that its ships were held up five times for more than a month in total due to Fluor’s delays.
