The International Maritime Organization is considering a $320,000 six-month project to assess the damage to the maritime industry caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The United Nations body could set up a specialist team with outside consultants to collect information about damage to ships, ports, training institutions and the “marine environment” in Ukraine, as well as the impact on seafarers.
