South Africa's Grindrod has lost a legal bid to claim compensation for an aborted voyage after an HMM master refused to sail a chartered bulker to Africa due to piracy fears.
The company went to the UK high court to try to overturn a 2017 arbitration decision dismissing a claim for $929,000 on the basis of "inordinate and inexcusable delay."
