George Economou-controlled shipowner Classic Maritime is to be paid $20m following a long legal row over a contract of affreightment (COA) with Malaysian steel maker Lion Diversified Holdings Berhad.
In September, the UK high court had ruled that Lion Diversified could not declare force majeure to evade its liability to Classic Maritime for failing to perform on a series of capesize voyages.
