Shipowners need to take into account the European Union’s FuelEU Maritime scheme when signing off on sale-and-purchase deals, a leading lawyer has cautioned.
Reed Smith partner Antonia Panayides told delegates at the law firm’s green financing conference in London that industry players do not often think about FuelEU Maritime in terms of these transactions.
“But it is super important,” she said.
