Allseas Group is chasing McDermott for more than $21m, alleging the Texas offshore construction company stiffed it on charter payments.
The Swiss company alleged in a lawsuit Monday that McDermott leased the 56,172-gt pipelayer Audacia (built 2005) in May 2018 for a project offshore India.
The ship worked on the project until September 2019, during which period the ship's registered owner shifted from Audacia Transport Chartering to Calamity Jane Transport Chartering.
