The new chief executive of United Shipping & Trading Co (USTC) has spoken for the first time about a bunker supply court case that led to a suspended jail sentence for a top group manager.
Nina Ostergaard Borris, appointed to lead the Danish fuel and tanker company last month, was commenting to the Borsen daily about a 2021 decision in which subsidiary Bunker Holding’s CEO Keld Demant received a four-month prison term over the inadvertent supply of fuel to Syria, in breach of European Union sanctions.
