Greece’s Kassian Maritime has added a capesize to its growing fleet, topping up an already busy 2018 that saw it acquire five bulkers and sell two.
IHS Markit's online shipping directory shows the 177,500-dwt Pacific Explorer (built 2007) has passed into Kassian’s ownership and management under a new name, Satori.
Market sources in Athens said this is the second Japanese-built capesize purchased over the past six months by Virginia Papadakis, a member of Kassian’s owning family.
