A closely watched VLCC sale has ended with the ship in the hands of an active player at a price which supports present asset value assessments, brokers say.
JX Ocean placed the 298,000-dwt Nichinori (built 2002) on the market in July and as the offer deadline passed yesterday there was plenty of speculation about the tankers destination, including some suggestion it had been scrapped.
