War risk insurance rates for Red Sea transits fell overnight as the market digested the Houthi announcement of a halt to its missile campaign against non-Israeli shipping.
The announcement is expected to spark a gradual restoration of shipping operations over several months to the region, which will remain a high-risk area, according to security firm Diaplous, following more than 100 attacks on ships since late 2023.
