The Swedish Club has said it will ask its shipowner members for a 10% increase in protection and indemnity premium at next February’s annual policy renewal.
The Gothenburg-based mutual is the last of the 13 members of the International Group of P&I Clubs to declare its policy on general increases next year.
Chief executive Lars Rhodin said it is “essential for the long-term stability of the club that premiums remain in line with exposures.”
