Steamship Mutual members have voted not to raise premiums in 2019, the fifth consecutive year it has managed to keep a lid on rate rises.
In a further bonus to its shipowner members Steamship said it would return $23m from its own funds to members who renew next year.
This sum amounts to around 10% of the premium paid by P&I members.
