Flag states used by shipowners linked to the global shadow fleet have been included in an annual table of registries for the first time, to reflect their dramatic expansion over the past year.
Eswatini, Gabon and Guinea-Bissau have been included in a flag state performance table for 2024/2025 compiled by the International Chamber of Shipping, which raised concerns about the safety standards followed by the new entrants.
