Jared Short has joined Markel International in London as a senior underwriter for transport and logistics, including marine professional indemnity, cargo and logistics liabilities.
Short will work alongside Holley Higgins who was appointed head of transport and logistics at the start of last year.
Short previously worked for CNA Hardy as a senior underwriter and spent over seven years at TT Club Mutual Insurance as an underwriter.
Joe Holiday has also joined the same team as a transport and logistics underwriter.
Holiday previously worked at the TT Club where he worked across the firm’s cargo and liability portfolios.
