Markel International is expanding its marine insurance business in Asia in response to the region’s continued growth in the shipping markets.
The company said it had increased the number of claims and underwriting specialists in all six of its Asia offices following rising demand for its marine products.
As part of the expansion in Asia, marine underwriter Lin Wanshi has been moved to Markel’s underwriting division at its Lloyd’s China platform in Shanghai.
