The American Club’s Dorothea Ioannou, who was this week named the first women chief executive of a protection and indemnity mutual, feels a sense of responsibility from her new leadership role.
The native New Yorker will take up the role at American Club management company Shipowners Claims Bureau from 1 August.
Ioannou hopes her appointment will open more doors for female executives.
