Chief executive Jeremy Grose says he can continue to grow the Standard Club despite the decision to run down its Lloyd’s of London syndicate.
But, speaking to TradeWinds during a business trip to South Korea, he said he wanted to clarify a few things about last week’s announcement.
Sources at the Lloyd’s market said the Standard Club, which is managed by Charles Taylor & Co, was virtually forced out after Lloyd’s managers rejected the business plan that it had to submit as part of the market’s stated strategy to improve profitability.
