Britannia, which insured the container ship behind the Baltimore bridge disaster, has announced a minimum targeted 7.5% increase for protection and indemnity premiums renewed in 2025.
The club did not mention the disaster — which is likely to become the largest maritime claim in history — in a circular to members, but the proposed increase is the highest of the 10 International Group of P&I Clubs that have so far announced their plans for February.
