Shipping should ramp up its momentum towards decarbonisation, take rapid action and engage with broader industry partners if it is to meet the IMO 2050 emissions targets, according to Danish engine designer MAN Energy Solutions.
In a new 40-page study — #AHOY2050 — prepared for the company by Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI), several key learnings are outlined for the industry.
