Hugo De Stoop believes the right people are just as important as the equipment fitted on ships.
Speaking on a conference call with analysts, the Euronav chief executive said that's how the company equalled or bettered rates achieved by rivals that have retrofitted scrubbers on their tankers.
The Belgian shipowner has been sceptical of scrubbers in the past, but has not ruled them out completely.
