A multipurpose ship controlled by Bangladesh's HRC Shipping has been sold at auction to an as-yet undisclosed buyer for a knock-down price
The 7,800-dwt, 500-teu Banga Barta (built 1983) went under the hammer in Singapore last month.
The longtime resident of the Kim Heng shipyard was sold for SGD 432,000 ($324,700), a price that would not even be enough to buy a small apartment in the city-state.
