Engie, NYK, Mitsubishi Corp and Fluxys have taken delivery of what looks set to become the world’s first purpose-built LNG bunker vessel (LBV) to go into operation.
The partners said the 5,000-cbm newbuilding Engie Zeebrugge, which was built at Hanjin Heavy Industries Yeongdo shipyard in South Korea, will run on LNG for its maiden voyage.
The volumes will be loaded by truck at the yard over a period of several days.
