Taiwanese bulker owner Wisdom Marine is diversifying into gas shipping with an order for an LPG carrier.
The company said on its website it would spend JPY 2.3bn ($20.22m) on a 6,400-gt vessel at Murakami Hide in Japan.
Directors approved the move at the end of February.
No delivery date was given.
Wisdom is listed with 136 ships in its fleet, including a series of bulkers on orders.
