Wessels Reederei has agreed to convert a further three feeder containerships to dual-fuel gas operation.
It has signed a letter of intent (LOI) for the conversions with MAN Diesel & Turbo at last week’s Europort 2017 exhibition in Rotterdam.
The three ships are sister vessels to the 1,036-teu Wes Amelie (built 2011) which was retrofitted to a multi-fuel, four-stroke engine earlier in 2017.
