Vopak has reached a deal to purchase the floating storage and regasification unit business of Nicolas Saverys-led Exmar.
The deal calls for the Belgian shipowner hand over its FSRU assets and the "corresponding part of the Exmar organisation".
Vopak will also take over all FSRU projects under development.
But the ultimate scope of the transaction could change, the two companies said in twin announcements.
