Its tankers and offshore vessels are already run separately and Varun will soon divide into two companies in India: Varun Resources and Varun Global.
Resources will own the LPG carriers, while Global will focus on shipmanagement.
Its nine gas ships ceased operating last year after it lost its domestic licences over delayed drydockings and wage arrears, but the owner quickly gained interim permits while it reorganised the fleet.
