Croatian shipowner Uljanik Plovidba is plotting a move into gas shipping in the Caspian Sea region.
It said in a filing it had signed a cooperation deal with Cyprus-based ETCA Caspian with the aim of establishing a joint venture.
The new company would transport and store gas and manage vessels.
ETCA is a specialist in oil products and gas.
Uljanik has bulkers and tankers.
