Ship tracking data of the moment a suezmax tanker struck an anchored LNG carrier in the Middle East has been made public.
Vessel tracking experts Genscape have posted animations on youtube showing the track of Great Eastern Shipping’s 150,284-dwt Jag Laadki (built 2000) off Fujairah on 23 February.
The clip shows the tanker moving in a south-westerly direction and appearing to collide with the starboard side of the moored 210,100-cbm LNG carrier Al Khattiya (built 2009).
