New volumes of LNG from projects sanctioned four to five years ago are finally starting to emerge and are expected to boost shipping demand from the later part of this year and into 2020.
Some charterers have already tried to beat the rush with US producer Cheniere Energy making a raid on LNG tonnage in the second quarter and snatching vessels to cover its emerging new volumes for the later part of this year.
