Greece’s Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) is extending its LNG shipping position with an order for up to two vessels in South Korea.
Newbuilding sources told TradeWinds that New York-listed TEN has firmed up an order for a lone LNG carrier at its favoured shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries and pencilled in an option for a second vessel.
They priced the single ship at $190m amid talk that the Greek owner may have employment lined up for the vessel.
