Emerging US gas company Tellurian has taken a two-year-old LNG carrier on time-charter as it takes its first steps in shipping.
Nasdaq-listed Tellurian took delivery of the 160,000-cbm Maran Gas Mystras (built 2015) this weekend.
The tri-fuelled diesel-electric vessel is fixed for a period of six months.
Tellurian, which took delivery of the vessel on 1 October at Galle, Sri Lanka, did not give any details of a rate for the fixture or the origins of the LNG which it will be trading.
