In 2015, when the World Gas Conference (WGC) was held in Paris, many liquefaction projects in the US were still being built, so none were yet pumping LNG into the market.
Three years on at the triennial event that was held this year in Washington DC, the first US Gulf producer to address delegates, Cheniere Energy, said it had exported around 350 cargoes to 28 countries from its four in-production liquefaction trains at Sabine Pass.
