December could see a drop off of around 18% in the number of LNG carrier transits through the Suez Canal following a rise in attacks on merchant shipping in the Red Sea area, according to shipbroker Affinity LNG.
In a note on both the Suez and Panama Canal situations, the broker’s LNG arm said it is “too early to see a material change in the number of Suez Canal transits”.
