Smart LNG set to ink 10 Arc7 newbuildings for Arctic LNG 2

A joint venture between Russian shipowner Sovcomflot (SCF Group) and energy company Novatek is due to sign newbuilding contracts for 10 ice-breaking LNG carriers before the end of next month with domestic yard Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex.

Sources said Smart LNG has the finance in place for the Arc7 newbuildings with Russia’s VEB.RF, with contracts slated to be inked by the end of next month.
