Two small-scale LNG newbuildings under construction in China are being circulated for sale and charter — but deals are proving slow to materialise despite interest in the vessels.
Brokers said the 13,720-cbm Hua Xiang 8, which is being built at Qidong Fengshun Ship Heavy Industry, is being offered out for time charter.
They added that the ship’s owner — Zhejiang Huaxiang Shipping of China — is looking for a minimum charter period of two years.
