South Korea’s Sinokor Merchant Marine has fixed its first two LNG carriers out on charter in a rapidly rising market after amassing a fleet of secondhand vessels over the past few years.
Brokers said Sinokor’s newly acquired, 138,000-cbm Singapore Energy (ex-British Innovator, built 2003) has been fixed to Vitol for up to 40 days from early November.
A rate close to $45,000 per day was reported on the ship, which is understood to have been in a cold condition.
