Singapore’s LNG imports will more than triple by 2028 fueled by its increased use in the shipping industry and power sector, says a new report.
LNG may “fully displace” Singapore’s pipeline gas imports by as early as 2026, according to the report by Fitch Solutions.
Piped gas from neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia has historically accounted for about 70% of Singapore’s total gas imports over the past decade.
