Shipowners invited to participate in Shell’s latest round of LNG newbuildings have submitted offers to provide up to eight vessels.
Bids went in last week, sources following the process said, amid talk that Shell is keen to wrap up the process and select its preferred candidates to sign charter parties with before the end of the year.
Shell is understood to be asking for offers on four firm LNG carrier newbuildings with options to take a second quartet on charter.
