Norway’s Hunter Group has revealed the first hint of its new direction following the sale of its VLCC fleet and a management buy-out.
The Oslo-listed company said it has signed a cooperation deal with Norwegian classification giant DNV to develop a “low-pressure midstream shipping solution” for carbon capture and storage (CCS).
They will work on a liquefied CO2 carrier of between 40,000 cbm and 70,000 cbm, as well as 20,000-cbm to 30,000-cbm feeder vessels, for European waters.
