Shell and Pavilion Gas will start supplying Singapore with LNG later this year, the city-state’s trade minister S Iswaran has confirmed.
Last October the two companies secured contracts to supply LNG to Singapore under exclusive franchises that last for three years, or until their shipments reach 1mtpa, whichever comes first.
Iswaran also said that Singapore is planning to import more LNG as supply contracts pipe gas from Malaysia and Indonesia expire in the early 2020s.
