Shell ships in cargo for new Scottish mini-LNG terminal

Energy major Shell has shipped a commissioning cargo of LNG into a new 2,000-cbm small-scale import terminal on the west coast of Scotland.

Knutsen OAS Shipping’s 1,100-cbm Pioneer Knutsen (built 2004), which is on charter to Shell-controlled Gasnor, discharged around 1,000-cbm of LNG from Norway at the new plant on 16 March. The facility is located at Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye, just west of the bridge that links the island to the Scottish mainland.
