Energy major Shell has reserved a slew of berths for LNG carrier newbuildings at Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.
Industry sources following LNG orders said the Anglo-Dutch major had inked a letter of intent with the yard for up to eight newbuildings.
They added that Shell is keen to secure its preferred slots ahead of other projects and companies that are also seeking to tap the markets for LNG carrier newbuildings.
