Shell has floated an enquiry for companies interested in providing an LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV) to be stationed in Barcelona.
Industry insiders said the energy major has asked owners for offers on a 5,000-cbm vessel fitted with type-C tanks specifying a boil-off rate of around 0.15%.
It is required by the first quarter of 2022 and will be stationed in the Spanish Mediterranean port, where Shell has already been supplying LNG as bunkers.
