A second Arc7 LNG carrier looks set to take the Northern Sea Route (NSR) this year as Yamal LNG’s next project ship positions for its first cargo.

Records show Russia’s Northern Sea Route Administration has cleared Dynagas, Sinotrans and China LNG Shipping’s 172,600-cbm newbuilding Boris Vilkitsky to transit the NSR between 24 October and 20 February.

The vessel looks set to head to the Arctic passage direct from DSME's Okpo shipyard in South Korea as it transits to Yamal’s load terminal at Sabetta in the Russian Arctic.
