An LNG carrier has been holding position near Shell’s Prelude FLNG liquefaction unit off north-west Australia this week as the floater prepares to export a second cargo.
The Shell-chartered, 170,000-cbm Methane Julia Louise (built 2010) changed its destination to “Prelude” several days ago and has been idling around 11 kilometres (six nautical miles) north east of the unit in what is seen as a waiting area for the floater.
