India's Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized an LPG carrier that arrived at Alang for recycling disguised as a sistership that Ultranav of Chile scrapped almost a decade ago.
The vessel, which has been identified as the 4,035-cbm Melody (built 1989), tried to pass itself off as the 4,038-cbm Happy Harrier (built 1988), which ended its life at the Turkish ship-recycling beach at Aliaga in November 2013.
