Major expansion of gas projects in the next few years will help soak up a massive LNG carrier newbuilding programme, Clarksons Research believes.
“While a period of softer markets has been seen as ships deliver ahead of projects, vessel demand is nonetheless expected to see strong gains as new terminals gradually come on line,” analyst Sarah Holden said.
“Further ahead, energy transition dynamics and Asian gas demand are expected to remain supportive underlying growth drivers in the coming decades.”
