If anyone was still dubious that natural gas will be a pivotal fuel worldwide over the next few decades — and a major driver of shipping both as a cargo and a fuel — then those doubts should have been swept away this week.
It was revealed that Qatar is planning to build a further 60 LNG carriers costing about $11bn over the next few years to ship gas from its next round of projects to expand its production.
